Using Personality Editor
From WWR
Personality Editor is the WWR module for managing your WWR profile — your username, password, your Favorites, your chat image, the colors and fonts you want to see in the consoles, and the information on your Whole Wheat Radio Webpage.

Creating a WWR Personality
This will give you full access to Whole Wheat Radio. You'll be able to request songs, rate your favourites, create your own shows—everything.
1) Open your browser and enter the following URL, http://www.wholewheatradio.org (Firefox users may simply want to Ctrl-click this link). You should now see a page that looks something like this:
NOTE: Whole Wheat Radio will open a new browser window for just about every button and link you press on the site. Multiple windows must have some sort of appeal to computer geeks, but I don't see how they make life any easier for the rest of us. So throughout this process, whenever a new window opens, just close the old one.
2) Click on the Listener Console link. You should now see a variation of this infamous page:
3) Move your pointer onto the left frame scroll bar (which is shown in purple), and by holding down the left-click button on your mouse, scroll down until you see a section called "Wheat Heads." Under that section you should see a button called "Personality Editor." The page should now look something like this:
4) Click the Personality Editor button. The next page should look like this:
5) To the left of the question, "What name do you want to use for this personality," type in whatever name you want to give yourself, your real name, a fictitious name, whatever.
6) Just below your name, click the "Start My New Personality" button, which should lead you to this page:
7) In the space provided (i.e., in the white block), type in a password. Each character you type in (as shown in the above example) will be displayed as an asterisk.
NOTE: If at any time you see a message that looks something like this...
...select YES. Otherwise you'll end up entering your username and/or password so many times it'll drive you nuts.
7) Anyway, click the SUBMIT button. The next page should look like this:
8) Under the "Chat Image" section, click on the show me the chat image library link (this will open a new window, but in this case, DON'T close the old window). The new window will display all the chat images you can choose from. Here's a small sample of it:
- (Screen shot needed)
9) Choose whatever image you like, remember it, and then close the image library window so that you're back in the previous window. Then, back in the above "Chat Image" section, click on the drop-down menu (which I've circled in black), and from that list, select the name of the image you picked. (For the purpose of this demonstration, I've chosen "dog02." He looks like a nice dog.)
11) Scroll down to the bottom of the page.
12) You don't have to fill in any of this (I don't think). If you're on dial-up, put a check in the dial-up box (which I've marked with a question mark).
13) When you're done, click the long button on the bottom labeled "Save Any Personality Changes I've Made."
This will refresh the page with your chat image so that it now looks something like this:
- (Screen shot needed)
14) Okay, then. All you need to do now is click the long button on the top labeled "I'm Done With My Personality." This will take you back to the chat page, but this time in the Official Whole Wheat Radio Personality colour scheme:
And that's it. You're in!
You can now request songs, create your own one-hour show, rate your favourite songs and interact with other Whole Wheat Radio listeners or Jimbob and Esther — go nuts!
