About Me
My maternal great grandfather was full blood Cherokee and I am proud of my Native American heritage. My granny told us stories because her husband died before I was born. I am an army brat born in Pittsburg, CA and raised mostly in Alaska, but we travelled quite a bit. My dad did 3 tours of duty in Alaska, 1st one in 1954. My mom and I flew on the 1st commercial flight from Seattle to Anchorage. I am the oldest of 7, I have 5 sisters and 1 brother. I moved to Talkeetna in 1982 and it has been home ever since because, "Home is where the heart is." My love and I have 5 sons, 2 daughters and 8 curtain climbers (grandkids not cats) :-). Our kids grew up to be good souls and good friends in spite of any bad judgements we made while we were raising them. Hopefully their kids will also become good souls. Our spawn are all still here in Alaska. My mom and dad are still living and are my wisest counselors. My family is my treasure making me a wealthy woman who calls herself blessed. My love and I discovered brewing a few years ago. We enjoy beer, our wine making was a bust but the beer is a genuine labor of love. We always have cases of empty bottles piled up somewhere; our friends and family keep us supplied. They even show up occasionally to help wash them when we are whippin' up a batch. We enjoy good cigars too! Mostly we smoke outside on our deck, there aren't many places left that will let you smoke 'em indoors (understandable) so we have an old chevy truck we smoke in when it is cold outdoors. I am especially blessed to have found WWR. I have added so many new musicians to my collection because of the wonderful format of this station. I can be blue and turn on WWR and get an immediate attitude check, creative people live here, WAHOOOO!
