A few Helpful Hints
BlueRidge has created a great page called User Page Template that shows a lot of "things" you can put on your User Page and he has included some great hints there too. Another page called Alternate User Page Template has a lot less content but adds some "fluff" or style if you will. And finally there is a page called Avatar that has instructions on how to change the baby face image that shows up when you are chatting. The main thing to remember is don't hesitate to ask, we have a lot friendly and helpful folks here that want to welcome you to Whole Wheat Radio (WWR).
About me
Where I live
My safe base for exploration is right here in NE Kansas. I like to say that I'm stranded in paradise. Home is South Dakota, out east river, on the couteu prairie, out amongst the Norwegian bachelor farmers. I'm married to a fine lady of Swedish ancestry. In any event, it's centrally located and akin to life in the latter decades of the last century.
My interests / hobbies
I have loved music since 1950 when my Mother took me to a Peggy Lee concert. Probably before that even. Over the years, I have developed a diverse taste in tunes spanning the ages from Les Paul/Mary Ford to big band sounds to bluegrass to 60's Gemini Hendrix rock to Chicago/delta blues to Kinky Friedman and on. Obviously, I like the variety of programming/music played on WWR. I formerly really loved NPR until Knute Gingseng and his cronies on the Beltway got in the middle of it. Guess I've really come around to that way of thinking again. They are better off without govt underwriting since you can't both take money and be objective. Now it's just taking corporate money and attempting to stay neutral. That's why I'm here folks. I have a real appreciation of the arts and little for bad neighbors. You're all great neighbors! I love to canoe, fish, camp in the mountains, spend time with friends, family, photography, traveling, making new friends, being courteous, kind, thrifty, brave, reverent..................oh, sorry, I had a slight stroke there. I'm disinterested in politics-it seems as I get older, I have less and less time for contentiousness and prevaricators.

How I found WWR
A lovely young woman, also a regular listener here, turned me on to WWR. Thanks Bekah! She was my favorite barista at the local coffee house. She has been responsible for my discovery of pod casting. Nuff said.
