I moved to Madison to sing on State Street in the spring of 1986.

I was singing "Waltzing With Bears" on the street and the city bus stopped, the door opened, and the bus driver shouted, "My brother-in-law wrote that song!" A couple days later I was again singing "Waltzing With Bears" on the street and a women walked up and said, "My brother wrote that song." A couple weeks later I was at a garage sale. There was an old guitar so I tuned it and started playing. It had a $10 price tag, so I asked if thety would trade a tape for it? The women looked at my Friends tape and said, "My brother wrote "Waltzing With Bears". They took me in the house and played me the origional reel-to-reel tape of Dale Marxen's "Waltzing With Bears"."
