My take on the Palestine/Israel thing... There's grief, horror, villains & victims on both sides of this conflict & I like to think I've kept pretty much to the middle ground in this song. There's enough rhetoric floating around out there without me adding my bias. I wrote it about the time of the Israeli incursions into the Jenine camps. The last verse originally had a token reference to Jesus. I revised it after the death of Rachel Corrie, a young American Peace Activist.

- The tv camera’s got a one eyed stare
- Can’t see God ‘cause he ain’t there

- But tears & tank tracks in the dust on the Road to Palestine.

- Remember Rachel Corrie when she made her stand
