Music library
From WWR
The WWR music library is a term used to denote all the music available for airplay. The music resides on the main WWR computer located in Talkeetna, Alaska and is composed entirely of MP3 files ripped at 44kHz, 128kbps. The library is maintained by Jimbob.
Musicians submit their music by sending a physical CD to Talkeetna. If a CD fits the WWR music genre requirements, the entire CD is put into the music library. This distinguishes WWR from most radio stations or webcasts where a music director is responsible for choosing which tracks get airplay. Occasionally Jimbob accepts music uploaded by listeners or musicians but he tends to discourage this as it usually requires special processing to tag the MP3s correctly.
