His Music

J-Walk has recorded exactly one song: "Blues In G." That's it. One lousy song. (Note: This statement is currently in dispute. There is strong evidence that J-Walk has recorded at least one other song, loosely known as the Cheesy J-Walk Song.)

This "song" (using the term loosely) consists of J-Walk noodling around with a red Fender Muddy Waters Telecaster replica through a cheap Korg Pandora, plugged into a computer, and recorded using Windows Sound Recorder. The drum and bass MIDI accompaniment is from Jam Central Station. And yes, the song is really T-Bone Walker's "Stormy Monday," but J-Walk just played whatever he damn well felt like playing, so it sounds nothing at all like "Stormy Monday." In fact, he couldn't even play "Stormy Monday" if he wanted to.

Although a well-known author of Excel books, J-Walk is also well-known for his sense of humor. Clocks in his house always read 6:17

Other Information

Amazingly, "Blues In G" is one of the most frequently played songs on Whole Wheat Radio. Why? Because Jimbob often plays it as background music when he does a rant. Checking the Last-FM page for WWR generally shows "Blues Jam In G" among the Top 5 Tracks because it is so often used as a music bed.

J-Walk lives in Tucson, Arizona, and he's not really a musician. And he's still waiting for that big royalty check from WWR. He is also a frequent contributor to this wiki as user J-Walk.
