Emoticon/image format

Any image that has been uploaded to this wiki can be used as an emoticon (small image) on any page anywhere on this wiki.

Use this format, @@any_wiki_image, to add the image to any page.

Note that filename extensions (i.e.; .gif, .jpg, .png, etc.) are not needed. If the image is bigger than 50x50 pixels in either dimension and is not a .gif file, it is made 50x50. The entire routine is similar to manually typing the wiki markup of [[Image:anyimage.jpg|50x50px]]. GIF files are not resized because the assumption is that all GIFs are animated and probably look best at the original resolution.

Note that the only extended characters allowed in emoticon filenames are - and _ . If the image has a space in the filename, replace it with an underscore (_) character!

Adding a new emoticon

Upload any image (.gif, .jpg, or .png). Name it something that makes sense and is easy to remember, but do not overwrite an existing image.

Click the edit tab of the image and add any appropriate emoticon categories. Click here for the list of possible categories. For example, you might type [[Category:Emoticon-animals]] for an image of your pets. You may add as many categories as you desire.
