Filtering someone

To filter one or more people from the chat so you never see their comments, type

filter name_to_filter

For example, filter Jimbob would mean you'd never see Jimbob's comments. Your filter command will not show publicly so no one will know who you are filtering. You can filter multiple people by putting the word "and" between them i.e. filter Jimbob and JohnDoe

To turn the filters off, type filter off in the chat.

Hints and tips

  • If you would like your chat entries to be in a different color or font, visit the Customize Chat page.
  • Click on anyone's name in the "Who" column to visit their WWR User page, where you can find out more about them. If the name is in red, that person has not yet created a User page.
  • You don't have to use the mouse to get to the "Write It" button. You can type whatever you want to say, then hit the tab key to automatically select the "Write It" button. Then just press "Enter". Very handy if you don't want to have to use the mouse.
  • Most browsers use the F5 key to reload (or update) the page. This has the same effect as clicking the "Refresh" button.
