Tommy Castro (born in 1955 in San Jose, California) is a blues guitarist and singer. He began playing guitar at a young age and was influenced and inspired by electric blues, Chicago blues, west coast blues, soul music, '60s rock and roll and Southern rock. His style uses elements of all these styles.
Since the late 1980s he has lead bands featuring a drummer, bass guitar player and saxophone player. In 1994, he was signed to Blind Pig Records label and released his first album the following year. He has gained national and international attention ever since due to his touring, fun live performances and releasing six additional albums.
His album Guilty of Love featured the last recording session of John Lee Hooker before his death..

Tommy used to be in a band called Nitecry that played many gigs throughout the San Francisco Bay Area. My best friend and I were big fans and saw many of their shows.
