WWhat would happen if Led Zeppelin and the Neptunes were to collaborate? High-powered rock augmented by brazen electronica -and Billy Preston on the keys.

Swivel's kinetic pulse blurs the line between the electronic and the organic, and hails the coming of a new type of rock music experience. First covered by Stereogum.com (named as one of the top 25 blogs you should be reading by Entertainment Weekly) Swivel has also been featured on such tastemaker sites as arjanwrites. The band has also been called "one of the most unbelievable bands to come around in a long time" by Whodaludaradio.com.

This electro-punk team has blazed a trail through the LA scene, lighting up such classic LA haunts as the Viper Room, the Derby, the Mint and the Rainbow Room with their powerful harmonies and unforgettable hooks. They've also recently performed at the Afropunk Festival in New York.

Swivel is fronted by Washington, D.C.'s Eddie Tyclus and Tai Heard. The band features Jet Tremonti on bass, and Gabriel Loukeris on drums. Tai and Eddie trade lead vocals and share most of the song writing credit. The two met during a high school talent show and have been collaborating ever since -despite the fact that they attended different colleges. As Eddie was learning the ins and outs of filmmaking at the prestigious New York University, Tai was studying music synthesis at the world-renowned Berklee College of music in Boston. Through trading files, sending CDs and maintaining constant phone contact, they were able to form their own unique sound though they were states apart.

While Swivel's songs have often been compared to Aerosmith, Prince, and David Bowie, their production sensibilities are much closer to that of Bjork or Outkast. Armed with ambition and talent, Swivel has already made an impact on LA's local scene-and will make a much greater one in the coming months. With two videos in the works, European dates in the summer and a full length album due out in 2008 to accompany their debut EP "Swivel Landing," the future looks brighter than ever, and listeners can look forward to more of Swivel's infectious electro-punk vibes..
