As a singer songwriter, Susan's style draws on many strains of roots-based music, from blues to country. Returning to her roots as a solo performer, her songs include historical ballads, blues-inflected melodies, and up-tempo country-flavored tunes. A performing member of the Valhalla-based Tribes Hill music collective, she has been a featured artist at a number of recent festivals in the tri-state area. Other past gigs have included appearances at clubs and coffeehouses in the tristate area. She's played at the legendary Towne Crier Cafe in Pawling, NY, Manhattan's Makor and the Bitter End, the Pleasantville Music Festival and the Mamapalooza Festival. She's shared stages with Pete Seeger and Sloan Wainwright.
In June 2003, a six track CD "Chicory Blue" was completed, produced by well-known guitarist, producer and arranger, Billy Masters. The full length CD entitled "So Long" was released late in 2004. It has enjoyed extensive radio play and several cuts have won recognition in various songwriting contests.
