Sally Morgan's songwriting has been compared to Patty Griffin, Gillian Welch, and the ballads of Bob Dylan with a hint of southern rock and R&B. Her vocals are soulful and searing with intelligent and thought provoking lyrics. Sally's debut album "Wandering Through Walls" was released in July of 2007 and showcases some of Boulder, Colorado's finest musicians. Ross Martin on guitar, Bill McKay of Leftover Salmon on piano and organ, Peter Sharpe on acoustic guitar and mandolin, and the engineering wizardry of James Tuttle all lend their vast talents to Sally's excellent songwriting. The result is an album full of depth, soul, and exceptional musicality.

Sally's early life was inspired and shaped by a rich tradition of music in her family. With her Boston Pops trumpeteer great grandfather, opera singing grandmother, and professional classical guitarist father, it would seem that Sally would have found a comfortable spot in the classical world and for a while she did. It was while studying Opera and classical flute in college however that she discovered her true love of songwriting and improvisation. Shortly thereafter, Sally left the classical world, moved to San Francisco, began playing the guitar, writing her own songs and playing jazz and world music on the flute. While working at Berkeley, California's famed traditional music venue, Freight and Salvage she discovered and fell in love with acoustic folk music and bluegrass. These genres changed her musical disposition forever and had a major impact in her songwriting. Sally moved to Boulder, Colorado and quickly immersed herself in the bustling acoustic music scene of the Rockies. She began performing extensively in venues throughout the Boulder/Denver area and embarked upon recording her debut album.

Sally has currently teamed up with the multi-talented Peter Sharpe who can be heard throughout the album, "Wandering Through Walls". The duo is presently touring extensively throughout the U.S. in support of the debut album.

Peter began playing guitar at the age of 12 when his parents noticed him air guitaring to bad 80's hair rock. He began studying the guitar and played in various garage bands learning his chops and contributing to his long term hearing loss. In college Peter toured Europe with a celtic trio and played in the greater Los Angeles area with his acoustic folk/rock band "Kinetic Overtone". During this time while rummaging through his parents attic, he stumbled upon his great grandfather's 1913 mandolin . From that time on he became devoted to the instrument and discovered the rich world of bluegrass. He moved to Colorado and began performing with bluegrass groups "Rocky Mountain Express" and "Ginseng Sullivan".

Currently Peter has fused his folk/rock roots and love of bluegrass in his most recent collaboration with Sally Morgan. He can be heard extensively on Sally Morgan's debut album "Wandering Through Walls" and will be touring with her throughout the U.S. this summer and fall.
