Marian Call is hard at work reinventing, or possibly preinventing, her musical self. She has been singing in public since the age of four, and since that time she has performed music in nearly every genre -- classical art song, musicals, gospel, pop, country, rock, folk, and all kinds of choral music from pre-Renaissance polyphony to atonal 21st century meditations.
She's currently hard at work learning what she's made of up in Anchorage, Alaska, by recording, writing, and performing as hard as she can. She aspires to have an actual band someday. Her first album, Vanilla, is available now (directly from the artist) through mariancall.com..

There is something about Marian's voice that is captivating me. It's honest yet obviously special. Lots of room to explore in future directions. Talent not yet corrupted by too much polishing. I can't wait to see her live.
