Solo Artist, Singer-Songwriter
Chuck Williams has been appearing along the Maine and New Hampshire seacoast and has recently moved to the Southeast coast of Massachusetts. Raised in Toledo, Ohio, Chuck has lived most of his adult life in the Berkshires in Western Massachusetts. He began playing music in U.S. Army Service Clubs.
This songwriter's music is of love gained, love lost, growing up and moving on. He can take you on a journey that makes you think, smile and at times want to cry. Chuck won the 2005 Ludlow Folk Festival Songwriter Contest and has just received Honorable Mention from the PeaceDriven Songwriting Awards Contest. He has been traveling New England sowing seeds of his songs along the way. His lyrics and melodies are a musical journey reflecting emotions of everyday life.
Chuck has performed at venues such as Wild Jack’s in York Beach, Maine, the Hampton Beach Pavilion in New Hampshire, the old Prodigal Son in Hyannis, MA, Katherine Cornell Theatre on Martha’s Vineyard, the Narrow’s Center for the Arts in Fall River, MA, Mozaic Room, Avon, MA , Guthrie Center in Gt. Barrington, MA, the Cantab Lounge, Cambridge, MA , Steve's Backstage Pass, Taunton, MA as well as numerous coffeehouses in Massachusetts and Rhode Island.
Most recently (January 1st, 2007) Chuck's song 'On The Line' was ranked 10th on Neil Young's Top 1000 'Songs of the Times' featuring protest and topical songs from his 'Living with War' website. http://www.neilyoung.com/lwwtoday/lwwsongspage.html
Chuck is a member of R.I.S.A. (Rhode Island Songwriters Association) and A.S.C.A.P..
