BARRY McLOUGHLIN is emerging on the international acoustic scene as a compelling man of words with a charming narrative voice. He is a Dublin, Ireland born and Canadian raised troubadour who resides in Northern Ontario. His historical tributes stir the spirit, romantic ballads still the heart, and landscape portraits capture the wonder. His songwriting craft has been featured across the USA. An eclectic array of tracks from Barry's debut 2004 "Pieces" CD have received airplay in 18 countries.
McLoughlin's debut "Pieces" CD containing 14 original tracks received a 5 STAR rating from Roots Music Report, Texas. His "THING CALLED LOVE" single was selected for inclusion on Volume 21 of the Acoustic Rainbow Sampler along with a track from Mr. "American Pie" Don McLean. Barry's "5th AVENUE" single was voted #1 on the Folk Alley, Ohio Open Mic scene and is presently under consideration for recording by a mega-major label artist. A variety of tracks from "Pieces" have been heard airing on public and private radio stations across Austria, Australia, Belgium, Canada, Denmark, France, Germany, Holland, Italy, Japan, Luxembourg, the Netherlands, New Zealand, Slovenia, Sweden, the UK, the USA, and the Virgin Islands.
