On the heels of a whirlwind Nashville recording session that included the country music capitol's top session players, including most of Reba McEntire's A-List band, award-winning songwriter and country artist ANTJE is gearing up to officially release her tunes via an on air appearance on WGN Radio.
Called "an impressive singer, guitarist, and songwriter" by RollingStone, ANTJE has been garnering considerable attention for her country-infused tunes and high-energy live shows. Turning heads with her guitar playing and infectious tunes at several successful showcases in Nashville, ANTJE began work with producer Doug Sisemore (keyboardist and former music director for Reba) on a 4-song demo done Nashville style. With friends who have played with the likes of Keith Urban, Faith Hill, Rascal Flatts, LeAnn Rimes, Trace Adkins, Lee Ann Womack, George Jones, Joe Nichols, Jo Dee Messina, and Andy Griggs, to name just a few, Sisemore put together a strong backing band for ANTJE's unique voice and awesome songs.
It's no surprise that Antje received a Billboard Music song award for "What I Would Do" and was honored by the International Songwriting Competition for "Take It To The Bank", a pure country ballad that "opens with such a good old-fashioned Nashville vibe, I expected to hear Johnny Cash's voice come out of the speakers.".
