While growing up in Wilmington, Delaware, Alan Pollard's father played the ukulele and harmonica as he sang the oldies and classics. This sparked Alan's interest in music and at 15, he decided to learn how to play the guitar. Determined that this could help him meet girls, Alan spent many hours playing along with Jimi Hendrix's "Bold as Love". As his talent ripened, Alan learned to play songs by the Beatles, Jimi Hendrix, and Billy Joel. Soon after, Alan strummed out his first couple of songs on bass guitar in a garage band named "Exodus". Even though the band had tremendous parental support, they went their separate ways when high school was over. After graduating from high school Alan studied psychology at Elizabethtown College in central Pennsylvania. Alan graduated college and played professionally with a band named "Red House" for two years. One day, a fellow guitarist and friend, Jim Cobb, heard Alan play the Beatles' "Blackbird" and suggested that he should be a solo guitarist. Cobb invited Alan to play during his break at a small club at the University of Delaware. Alan learned a plethora of songs and auditioned at the Waterfront restaurant in Dewey Beach, Delaware. After playing three songs, Alan was booked for the entire summer-five nights a week. During this time, Alan started to write his own songs.

In 1983, Alan moved to the central Pennsylvania region and played at all the local clubs. It was here that he met Bon Lozaga, owner of LoLo Records, through a common interest in falconry. Bon heard some of the songs that Alan had written and suggested that he go to a studio to record. At the time, Alan shrugged off the advice and continued to write songs while maintaining his construction company. Business boomed for Alan. Bon once again suggested that Alan go to the studio. Bon introduced Alan to other people with similar musical talent and his first CD, "See It For What It Is", was born.

Today, Alan has become a part of PeachFuzz Records. The Record label started to promote singers and songwriters that have the ability to touch hearts with excellent music and lyrics. When the company heard Alan's music, they knew immediately that he was the type of artist they wanted to promote. Alan signed on and continues to write songs that cannot be denied while PeachFuzz is helping to reintroduce honest music back into mainstream society..
